Yr1 Weekly Update – 11/25/16

During Literacy, we are continuing to make and break-up words in order to read and spell using our current phonic knowledge. We are learning what makes a ‘Super Sentence’ by using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces appropriately in our own writing. Can you talk about what a Super Sentence needs to have?

During our Unit of Inquiry, we have been inquiring about what it means to be imaginative. We have communicated and recorded our current understanding of imagination and we have started to investigate ways of being imaginative. How do use your imagination at home?

In Maths, we have been using a 100 Square to investigate number. We are learning to find any number on a 100 Square by exploring the patterns in numbers and we are beginning to sequence a set of numbers.  Can you find three numbers on a 100 Square and sequence them from the smallest to largest?
