Dates for Your DiaryWednesday 19 May Buddha's Birthday - No school Friday 28 May Whole School Transition Day Monday 14 June Dragon Boat Festival - No school Wednesday 30 June Last day of school - Half day (finish at 12pm) Thursday 1 July Summer holiday begins! Dear Parents, Last week, we reported on the results of our most recent parents survey. Your feedback was and is essential as we partner for “Success for Every Child” at KJS. This Friday, you will receive the link to the ESF bi-annual foundation wide survey. Children from Year 4 upwards and staff will also complete the survey. Please do take 10 minutes to give feedback so that the foundation has a clear picture of your experience at KJS. This week, we continued with our regular parent workshops with a focus on literacy led by our Literacy leader, Ellie Grant and supported by Jane Parker. This is now the 9th parent workshop for this academic year with over 600 parents participating since we commenced the workshops in September 2020! Thank you for your positive engagement. We have further workshops coming in the months ahead and then based on feedback, we will be looking to expand the scope of the workshops in the next academic year. I would like to thank all of the staff who have led workshops over the year and also all of the parents who have partnered with the school to ensure success for their child. During term 3, we will commence the transition programme toward 2021/22 including children meeting their new teachers and classes in due course. You will note the Whole School Transition day above on 28 May and more details will come in due course regarding this day. In the meantime, we can tell you that Year 1 classes will remain in the same group/class as they transition to Year 2. For all other classes (Year 3-5), classes will be rearranged to give children an opportunity to broaden their social and learning groups and continue on their pathway to achieving success socially, emotionally and academically. Teachers will support children in Years 2-5 and guide the process to ensure that children have some friends as they move into their new class and are well supported to make a positive transition. Kind regards 亲切的问候, सधन्यवाद Neill O'Reilly Principal Student SuccessThe celebration of student success will channel to our Facebook page. You can find the school's Facebook here.
