Dear Parents,
The air was full of excitement and anticipation as children crossed the threshold into KJS today! I have never seen so many smiling faces (and I am not just referring to the children!). We are delighted that as of today 600 of our children will have been back to school and by tomorrow all 900 will have started at KJS for the first time in 2020/21. We are really looking forward to next Tuesday when they are all in together and you can return to some semblance of normality. Many thanks to Ciarian Fay and the Health and Safety Team for all the work they have done to make this transition a success.
Thank you to the 604 parents who responded to the Parent Survey. This is a new record for us with 82% of families having their say. The results show once again that overall in excess of 90% of parents agree or strongly agree with the schools distance learning provision. Next week, we will share some details from the survey and also the planned next steps if we end up in distance learning again.
Thank you for supporting your child for this very positive transition back to school. Thank you for your hard work, your patience and especially for taking the time to have your say and being part of shaping our distance learning provision at KJS.
Kind regards
亲切的问候,
सधन्यवाद
Neill O’Reilly
Principal

Library News
Welcome back to school everyone!
It’s so nice to see all the lovely children coming back to school. We’ll share pictures of students at the library very soon.
In the meanwhile, please visit our KJS Virtual Library. We have some exciting opportunities for children to purchase books from Scholastic and from an author who recently visited Year 5, Ms. Ritu Hemnani.
Happy Reading!
Student Success
The celebration of student success will channel to our Facebook page. You can find the school’s Facebook here. Please keep the photos and stories coming of our children shooting the AAROW’s of Success!
