The whole KJS community is pitching in to provide some great experiences for our students. The power of story and creativity is also coming through loudly and clearly, and it's such a positive learning message and force. I had the pleasure of attending one of our visiting author sessions on Monday with Ms. Remy Lai - a wonderful author and illustrator based in Brisbane, Australia - and the students were so engaged and curious. It was also a lot of fun, and I was quite excited to share my drawings with my own family afterwards. Another incredible endeavour to highlight, amongst many other wonderful things at KJS, is the Year Three Virtual Art Gallery. Using an innovative and engaging online platform called Kunstmatrix, our Year Three students were able to showcase and share their superb artworks in a fun and practical way. The thoughtful and supportive comments in their guest books were also a joy to read. The feedback was useful and the comments genuinely reflected a celebration of learning. While we all can't wait to return to in-person learning as soon as possible, it never ceases to amaze me how our teams are leveraging both technology and these challenging times to support our students to learn and shine. Speaking of shining, our Year Six students will soon begin the incredibly exciting and fulfilling PYP Exhibition journey. Stay tuned for more information on this landmark ESF and KJS process and event. As a reminder, online Three-Way Conferences will be held after school on 24/3 and all day on 25/3 (no school for students). These conferences will be focused on students' learning targets and framed by the questions: Where am I going? How am I doing? and What's next? Registration is open until 23/3.
