Principal’s Message

Dear KJS families,

I hope this newsletter finds you well.

We are grateful for your support during the unexpected T8 weather alert and school closure yesterday. Your understanding and flexibility during this event were much appreciated. I’d also like to thank the staff for their support and adaptability.

Thank you to all the parents who attended the workshop on Flexible Thinking led by Ian Ong, KJS’s school counsellor. Your participation is vital in supporting our students.

This morning, our student council visited Catherine’s Puppies, an organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs. This charity has been a valued partner in our community, and I look forward to hearing about the experience from our students.

A friendly reminder that three-way conferences will be held next week on Thursday evening and all day Friday. Please note that school will be closed on Friday to allow students to attend their meetings.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support and I look forward to seeing you at the three way conferences

Student Success

Thank you for sharing your child’s achievements with us over the past year.

While individual achievements are undoubtedly significant and provide a source of pride for both the student and their family, sharing every student’s accomplishments on our social media channels is no longer feasible. Our intention is to create an inclusive environment where all students, regardless of their individual accomplishments, feel valued and celebrated.

That being said, we encourage you to share your child’s achievements with their teacher and peers, as well as within your personal social media networks. This way, your child’s accomplishments can be recognized and celebrated by those who know them best.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to navigate the post-pandemic educational landscape. Our school community’s strength lies in our collective efforts to celebrate the diverse talents, achievements, and experiences of all our students.
