Dates for Your Diary27 February- 03 March Book Week 28 February- 02 March Book Fair 18 March KJS Friends and Family Fun Day 03- 14 April Term Break Acting Principal's MessageDear KJS Families, First, thank you, again, to those of you who took time to complete the ESF Annual Stakeholder Survey. We now have a significant amount of data from families, students, and staff. Our next step will be to spend time making sense of the data in terms of strengths and areas for improvement. We will also be crafting a summary in partnership with the ESF Centre Team to be shared with the KJS community. Speaking of data, we have begun to analyse the student voice learning data around learning intentions, success criteria, and feedback which we collectively compiled over the past couple of weeks. On Tuesday, leaders across the school began this process, and some of it was shared and discussed with all staff on Tuesday after school. We are also exploring ways in which we can turn some of the rich qualitative data that is typically collected in primary schools into quantitative data. This will help us to more efficiently and consistently collect, analyse, and share KJS student learning data. Finally, I would like to share a quick progress update regarding the reinstatement of a lunch provider at KJS. In summary, the family survey indicated that there is a demand for a lunch provider if the price is competitive, the food is nutritious, and the provider consistently implements well-considered environmental sustainability practices. Aligned with this data, the PTA has been conducting food tasting sessions onsite with a small number of providers, and the food tasters have included KJS Student Council members. I will be meeting with the PTA this week to make a final decision based on the information we have, and we will announce the decision to the KJS community in the very near future. Calling out to all parents for 12 volunteers to lead and supervise certain activities on the day.
