ACTION EDITION! 1Mandarin Consultations 2Book Week 3Team Photos 4Lost and Found Items 5STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT 6COMMUNITY EVENT 7DATES FOR YOUR DAIRY 8ACTION EDITION!This Thursday I hope we will all enjoy the Action Day initiated by our Y6 students as part of their Exhibition. Students are asked to being $20 should they wish to ‘dress down' for the day – the money collected will be shared between the NGOs who the children are working with. In addition there is an opportunity for families to make donations or for children to bring extra money to swap books, purchase items or play games. We are group 36, 44 and 46 and we would like to start a KJS EARTH HOUR. On Thursday 25th May 2017, we are asking everyone at K.J.S to participate in an EARTH HOUR event. We are encouraging the community to save energy by turning off all or most of the lights, fans and ACs for an hour from 12:00 - 13:00. We have seen lots of classes which have their curtains closed and their lights turned on in the day time! We have measured the amount of electricity the school uses at this time on a Thursday and found out that 250 kgs of CO₂ is released in the air! This is a lot in only one hour. Not only that but we spend around $HK560 in only one hour! Please consider this as we waste a lot of money on lights and ACs. Please remind your children about the KJS Earth Hour this Thursday. Thank you for your support in reducing CO₂! Sincerely, Group 36, 44, 46 Hello! We are group 9 and our global goal is Gender Equality. On KJS Action Day, we will host a book swap for Years 3,4,5 and 6. To swap a book it will cost $5 and we will donate the given books and money to a non-profit charity called Room to Read.
