Newsletter- 02/12/20Kowloon Junior School's latest newsletter is available to read now. Dates for Your DiaryFriday 4 December Fun Hat Day on Zoom! Friday 11 December Last day of term - Half day (finish at 12pm) 14 December - 1 January Term Break Monday 4 January First day of Term 2 Dear Parents. It was bitter sweet yesterday. On the one hand, it was delightful seeing the children in Years 4-6 in school and really enjoying their learning, peers and KJS staff. On the other hand, it was sad knowing that we needed to move to distance learning. We know this is the right thing to do for the safety of all. However, I know this doesn't change the impact on children, staff and families and the disappointment of not being in school. We are all learning to be resilient. The whole school is now back in distance learning and our teams will work very hard to ensure a successful end to 2020. Fun Hat Friday! This Friday is a Fun Hat Day as we build up to Christmas, so please encourage your child to wear something fun on their head on Friday while they are on Zoom. The more unusual the better! Workshop Feedback So far we have just 17 parents who have offered feedback on the six parent workshops we have run since the start of the year. Given we have had over 400 parents in attendance, some more parent voices are needed! Please go to this link to have your say. Parent Survey In the first week of Term 2, we will be seeking parent feedback on learning (both in school and distance) since the start of 2020/21. Last year, we had an 80% response rate which provided valuable data for future decisions. Please keep your eye out for the survey. Have a safe week with your children! Again, we remind you that if you have any concerns about your child's distance learning or need any clarification, the right process is to reach out to your child's teacher so that they can assist you. We want to partner with you to ensure success for your child. Kind regards 亲切的问候, सधन्यवाद Neill O'Reilly Principal Student SuccessThe celebration of student success will channel to our Facebook page. You can find the school's Facebook here.
